Research Interests:
I study sedimentary rocks to understand earth processes and natural resource occurrence. In particular, I utilize subsurface data, such as well logs, core, and cuttings, 2D/3D seismic data, and outcrops to understand rock distribution in sedimentary basins, which in turn provides insight regarding tectonic processes, eustatic sea-level, and paleoclimate. I have geologic experience in the Appalachian, Permian, Western Canadian, and Newark sedimentary basins. I am also interested in geocellular modeling, landslide occurrence, and hydrogeology.
