For this storytelling experiment, we will focus on women in the Crawford County community, sharing their stories through photos and multimedia projects.

About the Conference


Ida B. WellsIda Tarbell“Honoring Ida” is the third annual journalism conference at Allegheny College. In our bicentennial year, our focus will be on women journalists and the work of two outstanding women journalists — Ida Tarbell, Allegheny College Class of 1880, and Ida B. Wells-Barnett — as it relates to the theme of voting rights.

Our academic partner for the conference is Ohio University. Students and faculty from University of Mississippi and Penn State will also participate.
