Assistant Athletic Performance and Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach

Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Performance and Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach.  The position is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Director of Peak Performance and Fitness and the Head Swimming & Diving Coach.

A Bachelor’s degree is required; however a master’s degree is preferred.  A current certification from NCSA or CSCCA is also required.  Experience in swimming & diving , acrobatics & tumbling or other related programs is preferred.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:  assisting the Director of Peak Performance and Fitness with design and implementation of training protocols for assigned athletic programs.  Collaborate with sports medicine staff with rehabilitation of sports related injuries to student athletes. Assist head swimming & diving coach with the identification, recruitment, and retention of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; work with athletes during regular practice sessions and meet preparation. The successful candidate should understand the Division III philosophy and thrive in an extremely motivated, team oriented atmosphere, have 1 to 3 years of coaching and/or playing experience or equivalent, and display a strong commitment to College, PAC, and NCAA rules and regulations.  Summer facility responsibilities will also be assigned by the Athletic Director.
