Allegheny College, invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach for Men’s & Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field . The position is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Head Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, with preference given to candidates with a master’s degree. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with the organization and direction of all aspects of a competitive cross country and track program. The successful candidate should: understand the Division III philosophy, have 1 to 3 year of coaching and/or playing experience, thrive in a competitive environment, and display a strong commitment to College, PAC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Specific responsibilities include identification, recruitment, and retention of qualified student-athletes; assisting with team travel, budget management, public/alumni relations and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics. Event coaching groups will be assigned based on experience.
