Building Coordinator

Administrative, office, and operational support for academic departments and their buildings.  Responsibilities include routine office functions, scheduling meetings, coordinating events, making travel arrangements, administering payment requests and tracking budgets, record-keeping (including for faculty searches), basic website updates, serving as point of contact for maintenance and upkeep of facilities, and supervising student assistants.  In addition, this position includes serving as the box office manager for The Playshop Theatre.  This position will support the academic departments of Communication, Film, and Theatre; English; and Philosophy and Religious Studies, rotating days of the week between two academic buildings.  The position reports to a central supervisor with day-to-day management by department chairs.  Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, 1-3 years of office support/secretarial experience, proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and videoconferencing, and excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.  Successful candidates will demonstrate strength in the above qualifications plus strengths in the ability to foster an inclusive and welcoming work environment, ability to learn new software and job processes, ability to balance multiple tasks, and experience with budgets, websites, and social media.
