Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Campus Visit and Building Coordinator. The position is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions & Financial Aid. The Office of Admissions is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of approximately 500 students each year. This includes meeting with prospective families throughout the year, processing over 5,000 applications, and communicating with admitted students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing the visit experience for prospective students and families including the admission lobby, responding to visit requests, developing and maintaining proper communication with academic departments to enrich a student’s campus visit experience by scheduling individual meetings with faculty, oversight of student-employees, primary phone contact for incoming calls and data entry and processing of applications.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred. We seek candidates who can effectively and excitedly articulate the nature and aims of a traditional liberal arts experience and the distinct features of Allegheny. A team-oriented outlook, excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills, attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude are essential. With many exciting changes in admissions, ideal candidates will be flexible with a willingness to perform other tasks as assigned.
