Defensive Coordinator – Football

Allegheny College, a selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Defensive Coordinator. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Head Football Coach. The ideal candidate is seeking advanced experience in the college coaching profession. A Bachelor’s degree is required; however a master’s degree is preferred. The Defensive Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the administration of all aspects of the football program. These include but are not limited to: the coaching and teaching of students, recruiting, game, practice preparation, and execution on the defensive side of the football, fund-raising, budget management, compliance with NCAA and conference rules/regulations, participation as a member of the College community and with all collaborative departmental functions as needed.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience coaching on the defensive side of the football, particularly as a coordinator, and experience at the Division III level.  Additional experience recruiting within a diverse and national recruiting pool is also preferred.
