Head Football Coach

Allegheny College, a member of the NCAA Division III and North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), is currently accepting applications for a Head Football Coach. A Bachelor’s degree is required; however, a Master’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates are responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of a highly successful and competitive varsity football program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruit and retain qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, athlete development, coaching/teaching, budget management, travel coordination, staff supervision and other areas of sport administration. Maintaining a working relationship with campus colleagues, alumni, community members, and other constituents is key. The ideal candidate will have previous college playing and coaching experience with a strong understanding of the DIII philosophy and its role at a private liberal arts institution. They must also possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, communicate effectively (verbal and written), have the ability to multi-task and operate within an extremely motivated, team-oriented atmosphere.  Additional responsibilities will also be assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation.
