ROLE TITLE: Assistant Professor of Mathematics

POSITION REPORTS TO: Mathematics Department

Summary of Position

The Department of Mathematics at Allegheny College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning in August 2025. The teaching responsibility is six course equivalencies per year and this includes participation in senior thesis advising, holistic advising across the curriculum, and teaching college-wide writing & speaking seminars.

Experience and Qualifications

Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics prior to the start date, and the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the liberal arts and undergraduate teaching across all levels of the program, and have an ongoing research program.
