Rebooting Windows PCs

This Spring Break, please consider shutting your computer down before you leave campus on Friday. It will be especially helpful this weekend, since LITS will be releasing an important update on Friday for campus computers running Windows 10. You may notice a slight delay upon rebooting, as your computer applies the update.

As a general rule, it’s always good practice to restart your Windows computer periodically. LITS recommends shutting down your computer at night, or at least over the weekend. It’s especially useful whenever you’re going to be away from your computer for an extended time.

As always, if you experience unusual problems with your computers or other technology, be sure to contact the InfoDesk at x3768, or submit a WebHelpDesk ticket.
