We recognize that email is an efficient, cost-effective way to do this. We also recognize that mass broadcast email can be viewed as unwelcome, especially if the individual has not opted into and consented to receive the email notification.<\/p>\n<h4>What constitutes a broadcast email?<\/h4>\n<p>Broadcast email at Allegheny College is defined as targeted email that is sent to specific audiences using lists that are built by Information Technology Services (ITS). Members of the Allegheny community cannot opt out of receiving these communications. This could include things like published scholarship, thought leadership, presentations, research, recognition, major\/minor combinations, interesting classes, mentorship, student life and fun, and more.<\/p>\n<h3>The information we need to get started<\/h3>\n<p>It could be as simple as a name, an email, and a one-sentence note. Or share a draft, or a story that was written for another purpose. Sometimes you may not think what you&#8217;re doing is interesting to others, or you might take yourself for granted. We find stories everywhere, so don&#8217;t hesitate to share something you might think is no big deal.<\/p>\n<p>We love all ideas, from employees, students, alumni, parents, friends, and beyond.<\/p>\n<div class=\"column-short column-one-third    \">\n<h3>Things we&#8217;re looking for:<\/h3>\n<p>We want to celebrate and elevate our faculty, staff, students, and alumni! This could include things like published scholarship, thought leadership, presentations, research, recognitions, major\/minor combinations, interesting classes, mentorship, student life and fun, and more.<\/div><div class=\"column-short column-one-third    \">\n<h3>The information we need to get started:<\/h3>\n<p>It could be as simple as a name, an email, and a one-sentence note. Or share a draft, or a story that was written for another purpose. We can do any needed follow-up.<\/div><div class=\"column-short column-one-third   column-last  \">\n<h3>What\u00a0we&#8217;ll do next:<\/h3>\n<p>Our team will consider the story and gather related content, such as details, quotes, or photos\/video.
