Do you play a wind, percussion, or string instrument? Are you interested in playing “the classics” as well as new repertoire? The Allegheny College Civic Symphony is looking for interested musicians — especially violins, violas, and trombone players! — to perform with the group. Rehearsals occur Mondays 7–9:30 p.m. in Shafer Auditorium, and the spring concert will be performed on Saturday, April 29, at 3:15 p.m. Repertoire this semester focuses on dance-related music — from ballets, folk tunes from around the world, and more! Please contact Prof. Jennifer Dearden at jdearden@allegheny.edu if interested. Students will receive academic credit for playing, and faculty and staff are also welcome to join!
