The Allegheny Speaking Consultants and the Director of Speaking invite all first-year students to participate in the First Year Voices speaking competition. Students can enter the competition by submitting a video recording of a 5- to 7-minute extemporaneous speech to the following email address: speechcenter@allegheny.edu. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. March 31. The top seven speakers will be selected to compete live on Wednesday, April 12, at 5 p.m. Monetary prizes will be given to the top three speakers who compete in the finals (1st place $50, 2nd place $35, 3rd place $25).
