Want to see and experience history in the making? Consider participating in the EL Seminar “Post-Soviet Landscapes: Ukraine and Moldova after the Collapse of Communism.” An information session will take place 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, in Arter 209.
The three-week seminar is led by Professor Ken Pinnow. It explores the legacies of communism through a comparative study of Ukraine and Moldova, two former Soviet republics that achieved independence in 1991 and continue to be flashpoints in the relationship between Russia and the West.
In addition to answering your questions, Professor Pinnow will provide information about the trip, including details about the application process, itinerary, and program costs. He also will discuss ways that the program can be tailored to meet your particular academic and career interests.
