Interested in becoming a moderator for Sustained Dialogue? The Sustained Dialogue Club at Allegheny is hosting an official moderator training on Saturday, January 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Pelletier Collaboratory. This training will be led by a member of the Sustained Dialogue Institute in D.C., and is designed to help students develop skills used to be effective in facilitating dialogue groups on campus. Sustained Dialogue is a national organization that uses dialogue as a means to promote a genuine exchange of personal experiences and ideas for difficult topics such as religion, race, socioeconomic status, campus climate, sexual orientation, etc.

Student moderators facilitate dialogue groups of 8-15 participants over the course of a semester. If you would like to sign up for this training, please fill out this Google form. Spots are limited, so please complete this application before December 12. You will hear back from us before the end of the break. If you have any questions, please e-mail sd@allegheny.edu.
