The Director of Faculty Development invites faculty members to participate in a Teaching Circle this coming spring. This Teaching Circle is designed to provide support to faculty members in their teaching and professional lives. Twelve faculty will meet each Wednesday from 12:20 to 1:15 p.m. throughout the semester; participants will commit to attend each meeting unless they are ill or traveling. Lunch will be provided. There is no agenda; the participants simply come to discuss whatever issues are most pressing in their professional lives. Participants will agree to keep discussions in the group confidential.
This spring’s Teaching Circle will be facilitated by Josh Searle-White from the Psychology Department and is offered with support from the Provost’s Office. If you are interested in participating in this group, please send an e-mail to Josh at jsearle@allegheny.edu by December 15. We will accept members into the group on a first-come, first-served basis except that we may manage the membership to assure that there are both tenured and untenured faculty in the group. If you have any questions, please contact Josh or Catharina Coenen (ccoenen@allegheny.edu).
