Auditions for “Detroit,” the Playshop’s final production this semester, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 9, and noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, in Vukovich 107. Callbacks, by invitation only, are at 7:30 on Sunday, February 11. Production dates are April 12-15. All auditioners should read the play; copies are available at the Circulation Desk in Pelletier Library. The production will be directed by Mark Cosdon. Suburbia, USA. Neighbors, a stagnant economy, unemployment, addiction and a barbecue serve as kindling for this toxically flammable tragicomedy. A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, blistering “Detroit” lays bare the American psyche.
