Allegheny College will host a “Diversity and Inclusion Professional Development Day” on Friday, February 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, February 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Tippie Alumni Center. This event is being planned in collaboration with the IDEAS Center, Alumni Affairs, Career Education and Student Diversity Organizations. On-site registration is available.

This program is strategically designed to support historically and systemically underrepresented students (students of color, first-generation, LGBTQ, etc.) by providing opportunities to build important alumni networks. It is our hope that these important networks can possibly lead to mentoring, internships, shadowing experiences, and possible employment in the future. Most importantly, we hope students will learn about different career paths and hear how alumni have dealt with career challenges, failures, unexpected changes, and achieved success.
