The Lake Effect Leaders application for the 2018-2019 service year is now live on the AmeriCorps portal. To apply, visit the Lake Effect Leaders website and click “Apply Now!” Positions will begin in July for sites based in Erie County and Crawford County. The Lake Effect Leaders AmeriCorps VISTA Project is a cohort of 20-plus AmeriCorps VISTAs serving in nonprofits primarily in western Crawford County. VISTAs commit to one year of service and receive a living allowance, professional development training, loan deferment with paid interest, and an end-of-service Education Award among other benefits.
