Join us for the final session of Interconnect Cafe on Friday, May 4, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Allegheny Art Galleries. Interconnect Cafe is a playful, low-stakes space for faculty and staff to learn about what others are doing and to explore interconnections across their work. Each session features fast, fun presentations connected by a loose theme. Presentations are followed by conversation among attendees. The theme for this session is “Equity” and will include presentations from Shannan Mattiace (“Gating in Global Cities”); Kelly Boulton (“Rooting Sustainability in Resilience”); Adele Poynor (“Women in Physics: Creating Community”); and Carly Masiroff (“More Than a Toss: How Educators Can Meet Students Where They Are”).
