Date: 9/26Time: noon

This post has been archived. Information below may be out of date and/or relate to a past event.

All are welcome to join Professors Ben Haywood and Beth Choate (Environmental Science & Sustainability) on Wednesday, September 26, at noon in Campus Center Room 302 to learn more about the culturally immersive field-research EL to Belize May 12-26, 2019. We will discuss the itinerary for this two week seminar (2 credits) focused on biodiversity and avian conservation, sustainable community development, and agriculture and food systems all within the rainforests of southern Belize. You’ll hear about how participants will live, explore, and learn in the midst of an active cacao agro-forest and develop first-hand knowledge of various strategies, efforts and solutions to reverse negative trends leading to loss of biodiversity in this small but rapidly developing country.

If you can’t make the information session, stop by to chat with Professors Haywood and Choate next week in the campus center from 11am-1pm Monday, (17th) Wednesday (19th) or Friday (21st) or email bhaywood@allegheny.edu or bchoate@allegheny.edu for more information.
