Lake Effect Leaders AmeriCorps VISTA Project is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 service term. Interested individuals can apply here. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation’s most pressing challenges and advance local solutions. Projects are focused in the areas of education, health, the opioid crisis, neighborhood revitalization, homelessness, and refugees/New Americans. Each of the 20+ VISTA members that serves with Lake Effect Leaders serves at an individual site located in either Erie County or Crawford County. Program benefits include: relocation allowance, post service cash award or education award, professional development/trainings, bi-weekly stipend, health coverage, and more.
