The U.S. Department of State assigned Allegheny College as the post for Mr. Dale Giovengo to serve part of his stateside rotation as a Foreign Service Officer. While stateside, he will serve as a member of the Gateway in the role of Visiting Diplomat. Faculty are invited to host Dale to speak in their classes; students who would like to pursue diplomatic careers are encouraged to meet with him by appointment on Mondays between 10 a.m. and noon or to drop in during his office hours on Mondays between 1 and 4 p.m. His office is located in Pelletier 254.
As an FSO, Dale Giovengo has held or managed numerous positions responsible for Embassy operations in France, Albania, Kuwait, Pakistan, Switzerland and Iraq. He most recently managed the Medical Services Support Iraq Program before returning stateside in 2017.
