The Allegheny College Choirs will perform their fall concert on Saturday, December 1, at 3:15 p.m. in Shafer Auditorium. The Allegheny College & Community Chorus, Chamber Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Men’s Ensemble, and College Choir will each perform several works in a variety of musical styles before closing the performance together as a massed choir. Selections will be performed in seven different languages, including Italian, Hebrew, and Arabic. The concert will feature numerous student soloists in vocal and percussion roles. Alumna and teacher of voice, Carol Niblock ’02, will join the College Choir as guest soprano soloist for “Only in Sleep” by Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds. Ward Jamison and Kevin Dill will accompany the ensembles on piano and harpsichord. The concert is free and open to the public.
