Social justice comedian Negin Farsad will be visiting Allegheny College on Thursday, March 14. Prior to her evening keynote lecture, “Overcoming Intolerance with Humor” (7 p.m., Shafer Auditorium) she will give a workshop for students 4:30 p.m. in the Tillotson Room of the Tippie Alumni Center. Farsad is the author of the recently released “How To Make White People Laugh,” which will be available both at the Allegheny Bookstore and at Tattered Corners (247 Chestnut St.). There will be a book signing opportunity following her evening lecture. Farsad plans to discuss her career path, both from an entertainment perspective, but also from a political/social justice perspective. A good portion of the workshop would be open for Q&A with the students. Admission to the workshop will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
