The Allegheny College Civic Symphony, conducted by Dr. Jennifer Dearden, will perform its spring concert on Saturday, April 27, at 3:15 p.m. in Shafer Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. The orchestra will perform several works all related to this semester’s theme: Nature. Faculty violin soloist Christina Brice Dolanc will perform a movement of Vivaldi’s famous “Summer” concerto, and other works on the concert depict the great Blue Danube river, the beautiful colors of a sunset, and a terrifying storm.
