Joan Chittister, one of the most influential religious and social leaders of our time, will speak on “Radical Spirit” in Ford Chapel on Monday, April 29, at 7 p.m. A Benedictine Sister of Erie, Chittister is a much sought-after speaker who bridges all religions and a best-selling author of more than 50 books. In her talk “Radical Spirit,” she offers insights from the Benedictine tradition as a guide in this time of contradictory values and social upheaval. The lecture is offered in honor of Jim and Mari Mullen, and is supported by the Harry C. Winslow and Madeleine King Winslow Ecumenical Fund and by the William Beazell Memorial Fund.
