The IDEAS Center and International Education Office in the Gateway invite faculty and staff to “host” students who plan to remain on campus during the upcoming breaks. “Hosting” meaning spending a few hours together (no overnight stays expected) with you and/or your family off-campus, doing fun things together. Activities don’t have to be elaborate, and can just be a part of your normal break plans. Possible ideas: Thanksgiving dinner, Shopping on Black Friday, Watching sports on TV with family, Driving around to look at holiday lights, Attend a religious services or local event, Cookie decorating, Fun things in late December/early January (does not have to be holiday related, on specific holidays, etc.).
