Dec. 8: Immaculate Conception is the Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics celebrating the immaculate conception of Mary. Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, December 9, in Ford Chapel.
Dec. 21: Yule or Winter Solstice is the Pagan observance of the winter solstice.
Dec. 22–30: Hanukkah is Jewish eight-day Festival of Lights. Because Hanukkah occurs over winter break, there will be no observance on campus this year.
Dec. 25: Christmas is the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus.
Dec. 26–Jan. 1: Kwanzaa is the African American cultural festival.
