With regard to employees who have had FSA accounts with WageWorks — under new guidance released by the DOL and the IRS, the time periods in which FSA participants can submit claims and file appeals for adverse determinations are extended. The extension relief provides additional time for impacted participants to file claims and appeals under the plan in accordance with ERISA section 503. Our runout date has been extended to 12/31/20 and our annual grace period has been extended to 12/15/20. As further updates are available, we will continue to keep you informed. As a reminder, we have changed providers for our FSA administration. P&A will begin administering our FSA beginning with new enrollments for the 2020/21 year (July 1, 2020).
