Posted on October 5, 2020 | Filed under General News

With the generous financial support from the Davies family and the Fahrner family, the Allegheny Gateway is pleased to launch the Davies-Fahrner Civic Impact Scholars program. This new initiative expands and combines the Davies Service Leader program and the Fahrner Summer Network program. It will impact local and regional communities by supporting ongoing civic engagement and accomplishing community-based projects that address economic development and educational preparedness. This program, under the leadership of Bethany Ozorak, assistant director for community-based projects, will be located in the Allegheny Gateway, Civic Engagement Office. Students in the Davies-Fahrner Civic Impact Scholars program will be recruited into Allegheny College as a 10-member cohort. The first cohort will begin in the fall of 2021.
