New Access Policy, Guidelines and Procedures

At the beginning of the fall semester the Facilities Implementation Committee prepared guidance related to the management of space, mitigation of disease transmission, physical distancing, cleaning, and communication. This document was previously shared through the Covid communication efforts. As a part of our ongoing commitment to safety on campus, we would like to spotlight the Facility Access Control Policy incorporated within that guidance. This policy covers both key access and card access across campus for external and internal doors.
As a part of the policy, and in an effort to simplify the process for you, we have developed a new Facility Access Request Form. You will see the new look, and we will be providing a tutorial link on the MyAllegheny Forms page in the near future. This one online form replaces a number of card and key access request forms, including the Key Requisition form. Old links like the one on the Physical Plant webpage have been updated.
The final piece is to institute a routine Key Audit. We will be sending out a separate email correspondence in a day or two with the Key Audit Form. All employees with exterior or interior door keys (including Parkhurst, St. Mortiz and Ricoh) are required to fill out the form confirming the keys assigned to you.
