A call for two faculty to lead the 2021 cohort of Global Citizen Scholars (with up to 20 first-year students); this is a two-year commitment beginning in fall 2021. It involves co-teaching a two-credit course in three consecutive semesters beginning in spring of 2022. The commitment also involves advising, and working with students in co-curricular and off-campus settings. Stipends and/or course releases will be provided. This program takes as its premise that civic engagement, global learning, and diversity can best be understood in relation to one another. The program uses integrative work in these three areas as its basis, and combines coursework with co-curricular experiences. Applicants’ teaching, scholarship, or investment should relate to the fields of civic engagement, global learning, and/or Diversity. While each faculty member must apply separately, they are encouraged to identify a potential faculty partner if they have one in mind. More information and application information can be found here. Applications are due by Friday, January 15, 2021.
