The deadline to apply for residence in the Max Kade International Houses in the academic year 2021-22 is Sunday, January 31. Each of the houses offers a dynamic living and learning environment focusing on a world language taught at Allegheny and its related cultures — Arabic/MENA, Chinese, French, German, and Spanish. There is also an International House that does not have a language immersion component. The “houses” are actually fully furnished five-person apartments in wing C of North Village I, featuring single rooms, two full baths, and generous kitchen and common areas. To help defray the cost, additional financial aid of up to $1,000 may be available to students who qualify through FAFSA (except for International House). Please note that you do not need to be a language major or minor to qualify. More detailed information and a link to the application is available here.
