International Education in The Allegheny Gateway invites you to join EDU Africa and the team at Marine Dynamics to virtually explore the monitoring of Great White Sharks at the southern tip of Africa! This virtual engagement will be on Wednesday, February 24 at 10 am EST.

Close to the southern tip of Africa, Dyer Island and the surrounding ocean form a critically important ecosystem. These waters hold a high diversity of marine life, including one of the densest and readily accessible populations of Great White Sharks in the world. This makes the area ideal for studying this apex predator. The Dyer Island Conservation Trust believes that “Science Saves Sharks”. Their team targets research actions that will enable policymakers and conservation planners to make sound conservation policy decisions. Please register here.
