Start planning for spring move-out 2021 by donating to a free store event that connects students to secondhand items previously-owned by Allegheny students. Donations fall into 1 of 4 categories: bathroom, kitchen, room decor and clothing. Hand me down has two event date: May 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. To donate, DM the Allegheny Sustainability Instagram photos of unwanted items in good condition (or email francos@allegheny.edu) and we will advertise them on the page in preparation for the event (we have a vetting process for assessing cleanliness and damage to any items). On the day of the event, May 15, students will drop off approved items and from there others can shop around for items they might want. Any items remaining will be donated to IDEAS, Salvation Army, the Downtown Humane Society, Gator Give Back or Women’s Services.
