The Allegheny Choirs will present a concert of short choral works at 3:15 on Saturday, April 30 in Shafer Auditorium. Treble, tenor/bass, and mixed-voice ensembles include students, faculty, staff, and community members. Collectively, they will sing an assortment of pieces ranging from Estonian chant and African-American spiritual to opera chorus and Brazilian samba. Two works by celebrated Allegheny composers are included on the program, and alumni are invited to join in the singing of the Nunc dimittis and Alma Mater Beatissima at the conclusion of the concert. Admission is free, and proper mask wearing is required of all in attendance throughout the concert.
