Update-Summer Break Housing & Student Employment

This post has been archived. Information below may be out of date and/or relate to a past event.

Summer housing will be in College Court and Ravine at the rate of $60/day for room and a meal plan. For students engaged in summer research, grant-funded internships, or summer student employment, an additional award will be made that will cover some portion of room and board. No student in these categories will be asked to pay more than $30 per day out of pocket for the period of their research, internship, or employment.

Students: please complete this form by May 12 for priority consideration for housing placement.

Supervisors: if you are planning to hire students this summer, excluding those for research, please fill out the Break Job Posting form through the Financial Aid Office. Summer research will be handled by the Provost’s Office and URSCA instead of student employment.

Please note that the President’s Cabinet has indicated that all student employees working on campus during the week of May 30 be made available by supervisors for possible support of Reunion Weekend from May 31 – June 5. Institutional Advancement will contact supervisors with additional information as the needs become better defined. As you hire students, please communicate this possibility to those who will be on campus during that week.

Students will track their time for Reunion Weekend work on their regular summer position timecards unless their regular position is funded by an external grant, in which case we will assist the student in establishing different timecards.

Please review this document for UPDATED information regarding summer pay, room, and board rates.
