In our present moment, many citizens question whether they can trust America’s democratic institutions. This includes institutions like the Department of Justice. In Allegheny’s 2022 Constitution Day Address, Steve Kaufman will discuss how United States Attorneys attempt to faithfully execute laws and maintain public trust. Mr. Kaufman, an Allegheny alumnus, served as the Acting U.S. Attorney from March to November 2021, after serving as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney from 2018 to 2021. He currently serves as the Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney for the United States Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Join the Law & Policy Program/Center for Political Participation on Friday, September 16th at 12:20 pm in Quigley Auditorium. Lunch provided.
