Are you considering or planning a project in the French Creek Watershed?
The Watershed Conservation Research Center (WCRC) is a new interdisciplinary effort among faculty, students and community partners to conserve and promote the ecological integrity of the French Creek Watershed. WCRC’s mission is to engage in strategic conservation activities and train future watershed stewards to protect, restore and enhance our land and water resources in the upper Allegheny River basin, focusing on the French Creek Watershed, for future generations. The WCRC is hosting a working lunch to learn more about the WCRC and discuss the potential of the WCRC to support your student-faculty/staff projects related to the watershed, including how our economy, policies, or art intersects with the French Creek community. The luncheon will be held in the Collaboratory (Pelletier Library) on Friday, September 30th from noon to 1:30. If you are interested, please click here to register by Sept 26th. This luncheon is open to interested faculty, staff and students thinking about a senior project or planning to do faculty/student research. Contact wcrc@allegheny.edu for more info.
