Allegheny Art Galleries presents concurrent exhibitions: Everything will be Okay by Ian F. Thomas and Space is not Enough by Trevor King

Join us for an opening reception on Wednesday, February 7, from 5 to 7 pm. Ian F. Thomas and New York-based artist Trevor King first met in 2009 at Slippery Rock University, where Thomas was a Professor and King was a student. In the ensuing years, they’ve worked together on many projects and exhibitions, including Anthem: Big Sound Big Silence, which was presented at Texas Tech University in 2014.

Thomas and King both grew up in western Pennsylvania, and each had family that worked at ARMCO Steel. Both artists use their artmaking to study and comment on the slow violence that the deindustrialization process brought to the region.
