Admissions Seeks Club Volunteers

Admissions is looking for clubs to volunteer for a mini involvement style fair during admitted student day on April 20 from 8:30 -10 am.

This is a great chance to showcase your organization to over 100 prospective students and families. All volunteers will receive a meal pass to use in either Brooks or McKinley’s.

Student Research & Scholarship Poster Session

Remember, the 2024 Cook-Lahti Scholars Symposium will take place on Tuesday, April 30. Students who have participated in research, scholarly work, or a creative project during the 2023-2024 academic year (or this past summer) are invited to participate in the celebrations of this day by presenting their work in the Student Spotlight Session.

This session will run from 11 AM until 12 PM and it is open to any student in any academic year or discipline. To register for this event, please complete this Google Form by 5 PM on Friday, April 12.

Crawford County’s Annual Severe Weather Tornado Warning Exercise

Crawford County will conduct its annual severe weather exercise simulating a tornado warning on Wednesday, April 10, at 11 a.m. Allegheny College will be participating in the exercise and will sound campus sirens and issue an ALERTAllegheny (e2campus) notification.

During this test, we ask that you please reflect on proper protocol and procedures to follow in the event of an actual tornado. You DO NOT need to seek shelter or make changes to your regular routine for this test.

Summer Work – ITS Help Desk

ITS is hiring student workers for summer break starting May 8. Work includes providing basic tier 1 technical support to users including but not limited to: printing, connecting wireless devices, basic classroom presentation technology troubleshooting, troubleshooting basic phone issues, responding to computer related questions, troubleshooting a variety of software problems as well as some basic hardware problems as well as removing old equipment from HUB closets across campus and move equipment to central storage space, organize, inventory, and document old equipment.

Apply to the Career Center’s internship funding program that our generous Allegheny alumni and partners have invested in so that you can thrive in your career exploration and professional development without financial burdens.

Students must meet with a coach prior to submitting a funding application on Handshake. Please read the application in full, as there are eligibility requirements and restrictions.

Applications are due by May 1 at 6 am.
