Allison earned a B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. in Psychology (Cognition, Brain, & Behavior) from the University of California, Berkeley. Allison teaches Research Methods in Psychology, Sensation & Perception, and Foundations of Neuroscience II.

Allison’s research interests include topics from the broad fields of Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. In particular, she is interested in studying visual attention (spatial, voluntary, involuntary, feature-based) and haptic perception (tactile maps, 2D raised-line drawings, 3D objects). Allison’s lab is equipped for both behavioral and electrophysiological work (EEG).
