Unión Latina To Bring Tango Musicians and Dancers to Campus

Nov. 13, 2012 – The student organization Unión Latina at Allegheny College will present AquiTango in concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, in the college’s Montgomery Performance Space. The performance is free and open to the public.

Billed as “A Buenos Aires Evening in Meadville,” the concert will feature not only the musicians of AquiTango but professional Argentine Tango dancers.

Formed by world-class musicians, AquiTango is an acoustical musical ensemble performing a select repertoire of traditional tango, including their own compositions.

AquiTango members — who hail from the United States, Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina — have recorded individually with world-renowned labels, created exceptional musical productions and performed around the world with some of the best-known classical orchestras, popular groups and internationally acclaimed vocalists.
