Bowden Publishes in “Soil Biology and Biochemistry”

Professor of Environmental Science Richard Bowden coauthored “Alterations in forest detritus input influence soil carbon concentration and soil respiration in a Central-European deciduous forest” in the journal Soil Biology and Biochemistry. He and his U.S. and Hungarian colleagues found that some forest soils are capable of increasing the content of soil carbon, thus helping to reduce global warming pollution.
