Daniel Kerschner, Alto Saxophone, and Kevin Simpson, Trumpet, To Give Recital

Nov. 10, 2014 – Allegheny College sophomores Daniel Kerschner, alto saxophone, and Kevin Simpson, trumpet, will present a recital at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16 in the college’s Ford Chapel. The recital is free and open to the public.

Kerschner, who is majoring in geology and music at Allegheny, will play Jacques Ibert’s Aria; the Allegretto Brillante, by J. Demersseman/Voxman; and Movement I of Lawson Lunde’s Sonata.

Simpson, a biochemistry major with a minor in music performance, will play Joseph Turrin’s Psalm from Two Portraits; the Aria con Variazioni, by G.F. Handel, transcribed by R. Bernard Fitzgerald; and Alexander Goedicke’s Concert Etude.

Wendy Plyler will accompany them on piano.
