Single Voice Reading Series at Allegheny College Continues with Harrison Candelaria Fletcher

Nov. 13, 2014 – The Single Voice Reading Series at Allegheny College continues its 2014-15 season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 with Harrison Candelaria Fletcher reading from his work. The presentation in the Tillotson Room of the Tippie Alumni Center is free and open to the public.

Fletcher is the author of “Decanso for My Father: Fragments of a Life,” which won a Colorado Book Award, Independent Book Publisher Award Bronze Medal and International Book Award for Best New Nonfiction.

His work has appeared in numerous literary journals, magazines and anthologies. He is the recipient of a New Letters Literary Award, High Desert Journal Obsidian Prize and Sonora Review Essay Award.

He teaches nonfiction and Latino literature in the Virginia Commonwealth University MFA Program.
