Update Applicant Status – Faculty Hiring

Throughout your search, you may need to update applicant statuses for the following reasons:

  • Move applicants into different evaluation groups
  • Move applicants to Screen status once you have your shortlist for phone interview
  • Initiate Reference Checks

Moving Applicant Statuses

  1. Select Applicant or Applicants using the checkboxes on the left side of their name
  2. Click Actions and select Move from the dropdown menu

On the next screen you will see dropdown options for phase and state. The phase acts as a broad category, so select phase first and this will generate the relevant state options.

Key Phases and States:

    • New: You can place applications in to evaluation group A, B, or C under the New Phase
    • Screen: Select “To be Screened” as the state when you need shortlist approval
    • Interviews: You can use any option for your on-campus interviews. Reference Checks will be initiated in this phase.
