Ida Tarbell’s1880 graduation picture from Allegheny College. The College had already graduated 10 women when she entered in 1876.
This photograph was taken 1881, Tarbell is at the bottom left. She was appointed Precptress of Poland Union Seminary, Ohio, in August 1880. The people pictured in the photograph are (sitting, left to right) Ella McKeowen, Ida M. Tarbell, and Rebecca Eastman. Standing (left to right) are S. K. Hine and Clara Walker.
