Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness (DVA) month, and calls on all of us to think about how we can take action to create a safer environment for all. Anyone can be affected by domestic violence, regardless of race, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, or economic status, and college campuses are not immune to domestic violence. Part of what makes Allegheny special is our deep commitment to living in true community. With that commitment comes a responsibility we all share to help create a campus that is safer and more secure for everyone.


As part of DVA month, the Title IX office is sponsoring and promoting various events across campus, beginning with the 12th Annual Candlelight Vigil. Links for further information about the events offered can be found here:
